WCNS is featured in the Latrobe community parade and broadcasts from the midway while giving away something special for the kids.
 

Santa's Party in the Park

The Friday after Thanksgiving, WCNS brings Santa Claus to town. Bring your youngsters to meet Santa.

Senior Day at the Westmoreland Fair

The Wednesday of Westmoreland Fair week is dedicated to senior citizens. 1480 WCNS hosts an afternoon of bingo for fun & prizes, followed by special entertainment.  We broadcast live each evening from the Westmoreland Fair.
 

Senior Lifestyle Show

1480 WCNS produces one Senior Lifestyle show. The Latrobe show takes place in April. The schedule for the show includes exhibitors, guest speakers, grocery bingo, health screenings, and entertainment. Lunch is served.
 

Latrobe Area Relay for Life

This community event is a fun way to raise money for the fight against cancer. Looking a little like a community carnival, Relay for Life features music, entertainment, food vendors, and a variety of fun games for kids and adults alike.

What sets Relay for Life apart are the school and community teams who volunteer to walk around Latrobe Memorial Stadium for 24 hours in symbolic support of area cancer victims who cannot rest from their personal fight with cancer. Come and have fun! Every game, event, and purchase made at the Relay for Life benefits cancer survivors.
