At the top of the
hour WCNS broadcasts the CNN National & World
Update followed by our own WCNS regional report
anchored by Dow Carnahan and Chuck Turberville.
Kevin Harrison, and Chuck Campbell anchor the
local news on weekends.
At WCNS, our news gathering
ability is strengthened by long-standing
collaborations with the Latrobe Bulletin, the
Metrosource statewide network, and the National
Weather Service.
Farm Focus
Built on a
foundation of agriculture and family farms,
Westmoreland County and the Latrobe area
maintain a strong interest in their agricultural
roots. Broadcast at 6:30 Monday through
Friday mornings,
Farm Focus is a unique program providing
information for the local farming community with
Eric Osterling, Dustan Heeter and Gary Sheppard
from the Penn St. Cooperative Extension office.
Jobcast
Jobcast is a dynamic minute of employment
information complied by PA CareerLink
Westmoreland, produced for daily broadcast on
WCNS Radio.
Healthwatch
Healthwatch, provided by Excela Health, gives listeners daily
information about the healthcare industry,
including the latest on how to live life while
maintaining the best of health.
Good Morning Latrobe Area
Only on WCNS: Good Morning Latrobe Area is
hosted by the President of the Latrobe Area
Chamber Of Commerce, Andy Stofan.
On the first Friday of the month after the 8
am news, Andy Stofan interviews guests from the
community, raises awareness of local events,
announces programs to help businesses, provides
information for individual consumers, talks
about "New Kids on the Block", and highlights
some of our area's best kept secrets.

Religion
Sunday mornings
at 7:30 am WCNS broadcasts the service from the
Victorious Life Church. At 8:15 am it's the
broadcast from Trinity Lutheran Church. At 11:00 am
it's the service of the
Latrobe Presbyterian Church.
